Skin Tumour Unit at Guy's Hospital
The Skin Tumour Unit is a tertiary referral centre for all forms of primary cutaneous lymphoma and malignant melanoma. The laboratory has a strong international reputation for clinical excellence and research, and plays a key role in the diagnosis of cutaneous lymphoma. The unit offers a molecular diagnostic service using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques to identify clonal T cell and B cell populations, which assists in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of cutaneous lymphoma. Translational research is fundamental to the laboratory and we are continually working towards ehancing and developing these methods and tests.
