Tissue Transglutaminase (TTG)
Description: 
IgA anti-TTG autoantibodies is a highly specific and sensitive antibody test in the diagnosis of coeliac disease. The antibody becomes negative a few months after starting gluten free diet. It can also be used to monitor compliance with a gluten free diet. In IgA deficient patients IgG endomysial is tested for. IgG TTG is at present not available.

All tests are compromised by prolonged transit times. For this reason, date of bleed and date of postage must be provided with each request.
