ABO titre

Description:
There has been a marked increase in the number of ABO incompatible renal transplants and Bone marrow transplants over the last few years due to better use of immunosuppresives and a shortage of donors. Titres are carried out on recipients to establish any level of risk of rejection. Samples are titred pre-transplant and regular follow ups are undertaken for approximately 6 months post transplant.
