Immunoglobulin E concentration (IgE)

Increased IgE is seen in atopic diseases, parasitic infections and Hyper IgE Syndrome. Non-Caucasians may have higher IgE levels.
IgE is measured by an immunoassay in this laboratory.

0 - 81 (Adult range given) Paediatric ranges on request

All tests are compromised by prolonged transit times. For this reason, date of bleed and date of postage must be provided with each request.
