"A sustainable financial turnaround" End of Year Accounts 2012

Friday, 19 July, 2013

The organisation LLP published its audited Annual Accounts for the year ending 31 December 2012 on 19 July 2013.

During 2012 the organisation LLP generated £87.6 million of revenue, an increase of 3.7% on the previous year and a profit of £0.3m. These results reflect the management team’s focus on quality, innovation, improving efficiency and driving cost reductions for its NHS customers.

One of the key components to this year’s successful financial result has been the rigorous cost improvement programme designed to drive permanent and sustainable operational efficiencies for the existing contracts at Guy’s, St Thomas’, King’s College and Bedford Hospital and also in central support functions.

Richard Jones, CEO, said: “2012 saw us translate the new leadership capability and operational plans we put in place during 2011 into a sustainable financial turnaround. We are now focused on investing in innovation and building on our reputation as a high quality laboratory provider. With our unique scientific and clinical partnership we plan to exploit significant opportunities for growth as the NHS responds to the challenge of pathology modernisation.”
