Coming to you through the ether: The Innovation Academy Summer Series, July 2015
The Innovation Academy presents a summer series of webinars from July 2nd, hosted by our Future Leaders in Innovation Group.
For the first time, the Innovation Academy is going digital. Spread throughout July, experts from Viapath and our partners will bring you three webinars on three very different subject areas.
To listen to the broadcast you will have to register for the webinar, but if you cannot make it or our sessions fill up, fear not, as the full session presentations will appear on our website in due course.

Webinar 1 - 'Comprehensive insulin analysis using mass spectrometric immunoassay (MSIA) - applications and future potential'
Thursday 2 July 2015 - 12pm
Lewis Couchman, a Clinical Scientist for Viapath in Clinical Biochemistry and Toxicology at King’s College Hospital, begins the series with Robert Dunn from our Future Leaders in Innovation Group with a look at current and future applications of mass spectrometry.
Webinar 2 - 'Prenatal genetic diagnosis - how much information do we want?'
Thursday 9 July 2015 - 12pm
Professor Caroline Ogilvie, a Professor of Cytogenetics at King’s College London and Consultant Clinical Scientist at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, will focus on advancements in prenatal genetic diagnosis and the ethical issues surrounding further clinical decisions. Nick Parkin from the Future Leaders Group will host this presentation.
Webinar 3 – ‘The challenging management of clots.’
Thursday 16 July 2015 - 2pm
Professor Beverley Hunt returns to the Innovation Academy stage, following her fascinating talk a year ago. A Professor of Haemostasis and Thrombosis and Clinical Lead at Viapath for Haematological Sciences, Prof Hunt will give expert insight into this intriguing area of medicine in the company of Nick Parkin from the Future Leaders Group.
