Professor Roy Sherwood on Carbohydrate deficient transferrin (CDT) as a marker of chronic excess alcohol intake

Professor Roy Sherwood is one of Viapath's Scientific Directors and Consultant Clinical Scientist in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at King’s College Hospital, London, a post he has held for the last 23 years.

Professor Sherwood has been involved with Carbohydrate deficient transferrin (CDT) testing for the last 15 years. In this recent interview, originally published in a compendium by Sebia, he looks at the rising issue of alcohol dependency and its impact on the health care system.
