Viapath strengthens leadership team with new Chief Operating Officer

Dougie Dryburgh Viapath COO.jpgViapath is pleased to announce a key addition to its executive leadership team with the appointment of Dougie Dryburgh (pictured left) to the position of Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Richard Jones, CEO, effective June 30, 2014.

Dougie complements Viapath’s existing team as the company continues to drive the business forward and deliver on its commitment to the transformation of pathology services in the UK.

Bringing a valuable mix of public and private sector expertise to the organisation, Dougie will lead the operational and business management of Viapath, with the task to deliver progressive quality and service excellence in scientific and clinical services for Viapath’s NHS Trust partners.

Following a career in the Royal Air Force, Dougie was appointed Group Operations Director of the NHS Blood & Transplant Service until he took up his most recent role as Director, Military Test & Evaluation with QinetiQ plc. Dougie has led large scale organisations and has a significant track record of successful change leadership in complex operating environments.

Dougie replaces Rab McEwan who has been fulfilling the role on an interim basis since 2012.
