Laboratory Overview

The Core Chemistry service at King’s College Hospital provides rapid‑turnaround biochemistry testing to support urgent and inpatient care, operating as a spoke site within the Synnovis hub‑and‑spoke network. The service delivers essential chemistry analyses—including renal, liver, electrolyte and other core profiles—ensuring fast, reliable results for acute clinical decision‑making.

High‑volume biochemistry testing is processed at the Blackfriars Hub, where consolidated workflows and advanced automation support consistency and efficiency across the network.
