Q&As: Organisational Restructure
The new structure allows Viapath to meet the changing and more competitive environment of UK Pathology.
Under the new structure, Viapath will be able to exploit opportunities in the market by providing a greater flexibility in service offering to customers.
All RoE, previously transferred employees and Direct Hires will be transferred to one of three Viapath companies. Which of the three companies you are assigned to will depend on your activities and responsibilities, but we do not anticipate any impact on the role you perform.
We intend to complete the restructure by the end of 2014. It’s a complex piece of work involving the creation of three new Viapath companies and all that entails (legal, finance, etc)
- Viapath Group
- Viapath Analytics
- Viapath Services
Alongside this work we need a process of staff consultation – this will involve over 1,000 people and so it will take time to do it thoroughly.
Yes – the restructure has the full support of all the Members.
The pathology market is undergoing significant change, and new commissioning arrangements will mean greater pressure to produce better quality at lower prices.
Viapath needs to restructure to be more flexible and better able to respond to these challenges. The Trusts are JV partners and have a clear interest in ensuring the business is set up for success.
