Viapath joins World's Biggest Coffee Morning

Monday, 29 September, 2014

Last week, staff across Viapath took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, baking and eating their way to an impressive fundraising target in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.

We are proud supporters of Macmillan, who help people with cancer, from diagnosis to treatment, and beyond.

Viapath believe a specialist diagnostics service is a key component of effective cancer management, and as cancer treatment moves rapidly towards risk-adapted therapy, manipulation of the immune system and identification of novel targets for new drug development; patient management depends increasingly on specialist diagnostics.

Our fully integrated service is a ‘centre of excellence’ and will be propelled further by the new Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital, which opens in late 2016. The development of the Cancer Centre will make Guy’s Hospital the primary focus of cancer services in South East London.

Our unique service has one of the largest repertoires of tests available in the UK. Our catalogue of tests continues to grow as well, with the next generation of diagnostic tests being developed by our on-site clinical research teams and bioinformaticians.
