Three new entities created in Viapath re-structure
From today, 1 January 2015, Viapath is changing the way it operates, with an organisational re-structure that will see it transformed in to a more streamlined and modern pathology service for its customers. Within the new structure, Viapath LLP will be formed in to three main legal entities to include :
Viapath Group: This body will set the strategy of the business, manage relationships with our stakeholders and set objectives for the two operating arms of the business. Viapath Group will also be responsible for executive management, corporate services, business development as well as legal and marketing services.
Viapath Analytics: which will deliver the laboratory service and the scientific expertise for our NHS customers. This includes the majority of laboratory staff and operational management functions.
Viapath Services: who will provide facilities and support services for our customers, incorporating estate and infrastructure management, facilities management, procurement, logistics, IT and LIMS.
The New Year re-structuring continues the evolution process of the company following the launch of Viapath LLP in May 2014, formerly GSTS Pathology, to reflect major changes in the business and competitive environment and to meet our objective of providing a high quality, safe and accurate service to our customers.
As part of this transformation, as of 1st January 2015 all staff who work at Guy's & St Thomas' and Kings College Hospital, for Viapath, will become direct employees of the new Viapath via a TUPE arrangement.
Richard Jones, CEO Viapath said, "This an important step for Viapath in achieving its long term goals, in particular, bringing all staff under one organisation. The organisation will continue to offer the same high quality pathology service you have come to expect and which you can rely on. We are deeply committed to Viapath's vision: to lead pathology transformation through our network of experts, to achieve a better service for clinicians, and better outcomes for patients every day".
