Heinz Bodies

Description: 
Heinz bodies are precipitated denatured globin chains often seen in patients with enzyme deficiencies and unstable haemoglobins. This assay is a supravital staining method for the identification of these inclusion bodies.

This test is not currently included in the laboratory's UKAS scope of accreditation to ISO15189:2012.
