Welcome to the Princess Royal University Hospital information centre.

The phased migration of pathology services into our new hub laboratory (the ‘hub’) will consolidate our laboratory footprint from 89 locations across both Trust’s sites into a hub-and-spoke model.  

This starts from April 2024 with primary and community care services transitioning first followed by non-urgent Trust services in future phases. Pathology services will transition in discipline groups, beginning with our blood science services which includes Haematology, Biochemistry, Coagulation and some of our Immunology and Virology services. We are currently finalising transition dates for non-urgent services at the PRUH. 

This move to the hub and the use of new analytical instrumentation means there will be reference range changes for some users. Any changes affecting you will be communicated in advance and happen on the day of transfer and can be found in latest news.
