Travel Information

Tube

The nearest tube stations to Guy's Hospital are:

  • London Bridge - Northern and Jubilee lines (5 minutes' walk)
  • Monument - District and Circle lines (15 minutes' walk)

Bus

These buses stop at London Bridge, London Bridge station or near Guy's hospital: 17, 21, 35, 40, 43, 47, 48, 133, 141, 149, 343, 381, 521, 701, RV1, C10.

N21, N35, N47, N133, N343 and N381. (Night Buses stop at or near London Bridge.)

Please allow 15 - 20 minutes to get from the bus stop to where you need to be in the hospital. For further information about buses and tubes, please call Transport for London on 0343 222 1234 (24 hours) or use the Transport for London journey planner.

Train

London Bridge is the nearest railway station. For further information, please call National Rail Enquiries on 03457 48 49 50 or visit National Rail website

Car

There is no general parking, although there is limited disabled parking available on a first come, first served basis and a drop off facility. There is an NCP car park at the junction of Snowsfield and Kipling Streets, about a 2 minute walk from the hospital. Charges are displayed at the entrance.

Please use public transport whenever possible.

Guy's Hospital is located in the Congestion Charging zone of London.

Multiomic Medicine Service
Liver Pathology
This department provides four services as a specialist diagnostic and drug monitoring service for the clinical management of liver patients.
Clinical Neuropathology Department
As one of the busiest departments of its type in the country, the Department of Clinical Neuropathology has connections with hospitals and scientific institutions in the UK and abroad.
Customer Service
Consisting of a front line team answering calls & emails, and our Customer Service Coordinators who look after our customers in transition and some of our more complex requests, our team is perfectly placed to assist with any Viapath query.
Cancer Specialist Diagnostics Service
A specialist diagnostics service is a key component of cancer management; it is essential for diagnosis, risk stratification and minimal residual disease monitoring.
Central Specimen Receptions (CSR Department)
We have Central Specimen Receptions across our four sites. These CSRs are at the forefront of our pathology service, processing hundreds of thousands of patient samples each month.
Cellular Pathology Department
The Cellular Pathology Department comprises of Histology, Cytology, Oral Pathology and Andrology laboratories across our four hospital sites.
Genetics Department
With our laboratories forming part of the regional Genetics Centre, we are deeply rooted in a collaborative, expert network of regional, national and international genetics services.
Special Haematology Department
Our Specialist Haematology Department encompasses the Red Cell, Molecular Haemoglobinopathy and Flow Cytometry/ Immunophenotyping Laboratories across our London sites.
Phlebotomy Department
Our blood test department operates across our London hospital sites, via community based services and a specialist paediatric service at the Evelina Children's hospital.
Blood Sciences Department
Overseen by our highly skilled experts, our extensive Blood Sciences Department operates a vast test repertoire across all our sites.
Clinical Transplantation Department
The department provides a comprehensive service in support of renal and pancreas transplantation across the South East.
Haemostasis and Thrombosis Department
The Haemostasis and Thrombosis Department provides a comprehensive range of laboratory tests covering routine and specialist haemostasis and thrombosis, molecular haemostasis and nutristasis.
Toxicology Department
Our Toxicology Department encompasses drugs of abuse, trace elements and therapeutic drug monitoring testing services.
Molecular Pathology Department
The Molecular Pathology Department at Kings’ College Hospital is an established service run by leaders in their field.
Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service
Our Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (SE-HMDS) provides Immunophenotyping, Cytogenetic and Molecular Diagnostic services to haematologists across Southeast England.
Reference Biochemistry Department
Our established and expert Department of Reference Biochemistry provides a full range of routine and specialist testing.
Diagnostic Immunology and Allergy Department
Our Diagnostic Immunology and Allergy service at Kings’ College Hospital, is one of the most experienced diagnostic immunology services in London.
Biochemical Sciences Department
The Biochemical Sciences department consists of five specialist laboratories led by scientific experts in their field each with a clear vision for the provision of a quality laboratory service.
St. John's Institute of Dermatology
St John's Institute began life in 1863 as a hospital and a postgraduate teaching institute and is now a world leading centre for patients with skin disease.
